Peanut's Story![]() Peanut was hit by a car and left homeless out in the cold to fend for herself with a broken hip. She was picked up by animal control and sat in a cage at the shelter with a painful injury for weeks. BC2A saw her post on the shelter's urgent list and knew her time was quickly running out.
Peanut underwent FHO surgery to fix her broken hip. After her surgery, she was weak and wasn't eating, therefore remained at the vet for a couple of days under close watch. She eventually was able to eat and was released from the vet. Thank you to the Hurst family for fostering her and for showering her with the love and tenderness every animal should feel. Thank you to FOAR (Friends of Animal Rescue) for partnering with us to pull this girl from the shelter. And, thank you to you, our generous supporters for funding her surgery.
